Our roaming homie Kevin Aldrich is on the road again. This time: Lisbon, Portugal. He’s there for a month, visiting friends, cultivating his photography skills, and generally trying to make sense of this crazy thing called life. There’s something magical and admirable about structuring your life in a way that lets you pick up and go for a little while. Everyone should get to enjoy a period in their lives when they can be a seed on the breeze, responding to their deepest inner needs and wonderings, going wherever they feel moved. Some people are just better at making that happen for themselves. We all have that friend. You’re never quite sure where in the world they are. They’re always traveling, always getting into something new. They’re a little bit mad. But we’re all a little mad, aren’t we?

  1. We have friends that lived in Portugal together for a while. This is one of our ‘must’ spend some time there, everything about it, including the language seems so romantic and, weird odd fact from GenX, I think Meredith Viera (whose father was a prominent, wonderful doctor) is of Portuguese descent.
