pamplona escape

We’re not here to sell you on escapism. There’s a lot to be said for grounding down where you are, digging in, planting roots, and finding adventure in your own backyard. You’re probably sick of hearing it, but it’s true – inspiration is everywhere.

BUT. There is nothing quite like yanking up a few roots and going somewhere completely new, getting to know new spaces, new cultures, new people. Travel – deep, immersive, bone-shaking travel – is like medicine. Talk about creating a paradigm shift in your perspective.

Today’s Friday Escape was shot in Pamplona, Spain, minus the running bulls. While the San Fermín festival brings in upwards of 1 million people to town in July, Pamplona on the off-season is a quiet, relaxed city. Pedestrian streets wind and wiggle through the old city, and ancient walls demonstrate how this fortified town has persisted for hundreds of years. It’s the perfect place to take a long walk, and find some head space in which to grow your next great idea. Happy Friday, folks.
