Coffee is amazing. It starts as a fruit and then we pick, sort, pulp, ferment, wash, dry, rest, ship, roast, bag, grind, and brew until it comes to be the familiar morning nectar we know and love. Coffee’s daily transformation is, in our humble opinion, one of the most amazing transformations on the planet. Better than a butterfly.

And so much of the transformation happens right in your own home. The beans arrive to your door, and even though they’re already harvested and roasted, they need to be further processed. When you brew your morning cup of coffee – weighing the beans, grinding them fresh, measuring the water and its temperature, and combining it all in a precise, timed technique – you are literally performing science. The chemistry of coffee is beautiful, and we are all morning alchemists.
