brisket coffee dip 3

A little coffee can take your grilling game to the next level. It’s the 4th of July this weekend and if you really want to impress your crew, create your own dry rub spice mix – complete with coffee.

Here’s how you do it:

Ingredients
2 Tablespoons fresh-ground coffee (on the coarse side)
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried orange zest
1 Tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 three-finger pinch crushed red chili flakes

Mix the spices together and coat your favorite meat or vegetables with it. This dry rub goes great with beef, but it’s awesome on chicken and corn too. To really make the most of the flavors, do the rub the night before and chill the meat or veggies overnight before grilling.

  1. Wait, what is Avalon (a car, a place at the shore)? Is there an off-menu selection and is that only for your favorite customers? Where do we find Avalon, the LC coffee? Anonymous said they have Avalon, right? Is it bad that now I want to try Avalon. That would be kinda perfect right now – -Summertime and everyone in Philly has happy memories from the Jersey shore.
