A Kick Ass Girl’s Guide to Kicking Ass

You got this.

You work hard, you’re smart, you’ve proven yourself.

You know who you are and what you have to offer.

You remember where you’ve been and where you’re going.

You’re tough. You know what you’re capable of.

You’ve earned this.

You command respect and you give it.

You’re not afraid to speak up, you have a voice and it’s powerful.

You can handle a good challenge.

You understand that strength is not just had, it’s built and reinforced, it’s tested.

Tried and true.

Listen, patiently. Learn perspectives. Share experiences. Learn everything you can.

Trust yourself and your instincts.

Recognize that so many people believe in you.

Your colleagues are your team, your mentors, your friends.

They’re all rooting for you.

Hear the words of the woman that taught you everything. Who taught you how to be a boss, how to handle anything. Hear her voice in your head, cheering you on “You’re doing it Dory! You’re doing it!”

Remember,

It’s okay to not have all the answers.

It’s okay to be sensitive.

You’re invested, you care.

Sometimes you have to say “I told you so” so they know you mean business but you don’t have to be a dick about it.

Be willing to accept when you’re wrong.

Take deep breaths.

Take your time.

You’re exactly where your meant to be.

And hey,

Don’t ever let anyone tell you you can’t do something.

Don’t let it get to you that you can’t lift a machine.

Show em you can juggle.

You can do it all.

**Dedicated to Ali Paolucci, who taught me to put my big girl pants on and rock it out. Thank you.**

  1. Hey, I saw and heard Angel Castellanos at the Philadelphia Travel Show one year with really helpful, excellent travel advice even for seasoned and / or business travelers. If anyone gets the chance, it is travel advice worth hearing. So cool that people all over the country love LC.
