To our La Colombe Family and Friends,
“It was on May 4, 1994; twenty-six years ago we opened our first cafe in Rittenhouse, Philadelphia. JP and I set out on a journey with one singular motive, to be the reference coffee company in America. Getting there was mostly triumph, but nothing great ever comes without challenges.
Today we are striving to overcome these new challenges with that same motive. We are calling on our Rittenhouse cafe once again to be the prototype cafe for America, this time, with several new elements – as the industry’s example of a proper cafe operating in ‘Safe To-Go Mode’.”
– CEO Todd Carmichael
Today, we are excited to welcome our community back. After months of planning, we are introducing our new safe-mode, grab-and-go format cafe. We are committed to offering a safe environment, while serving the community the coffee they have come to know and love. And while this new format will look very different from previous cafes, we hope that this stands as an example of how we, as a company and country, can evolve and innovate. We often say at La Colombe that nothing is ever finished and that has never been more true. The new format is a result of La Colombe’s innovative thinking and cutting-edge way of approaching hospitality. As a leader in the food and beverage space, our hope is that this new format can act as a reference cafe to others within the industry. A cafe that provides hope.
As part of the new prototype cafe, we have implemented several precautions to uphold our commitment to keeping you safe. They are as follows:
The cafe hours will be 8:00AM-3:00PM daily. We will continue to monitor the CDC’s guidance from city and state officials and will adjust our plan accordingly.
At La Colombe we will work together to be part of the solution. We cannot wait to see you soon. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, we are also here for you at help@lacolombe.net.
