Hear it From the Experts: Coffee Helps You Live Longer

We’ve been saying it forever (well for a while now). COFFEE IS GOOD FOR YOU.

But not all coffee is healthy.

Unlike the Draft Latte, many of RTD coffees are overloaded with sugar and additives that make your coffee in a can more like coffee in a candy bar.

Completely hormone- and lactose-free and made with only real ingredients, the original Draft Latte is naturally sweet with no added sugar, and delivers a good source of protein and excellent source of calcium and vitamin D in each serving. It also has a fraction of the calories and total sugar of other major ready-to-drink coffee and energy beverages on the market.

So it’s no doubt that Draft Latte is a healthier option than other to-go coffees, but what is it about the beans itself that leads to a longer life?

Which brings us to the two recent studies from the Annals of Internal Medicine. The studies surveyed hundreds of thousands of people in both the U.S. and Europe. Both studies concluded that drinking more coffee could significantly lower a person’s risk of mortality.

… [people] who drank more than four cups of coffee a day showed an 18% lower risk of dying prematurely in the 16 years of follow-up, compared to non drinkers.”

Coffee is made up of different compounds, which can have all sorts of biological effects. For example, some people feel jittery from the effects of their coffee’s caffeine. This study, however, sites that drinking coffee can lower levels of inflammation, healthier lipid profiles and help with glucose control.

Studies have shown that certain compounds have neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce risk for illnesses like Parkinson’s disease.”

Now if you’re a non-coffee drinker, suddenly starting to drink coffee isn’t going to necessarily add years to your life. But for the Draft Latte-a day drinkers, you’ve been on top of a health trend you didn’t even know about.
