Pumpkin Spice Affogato

It’s already pumpkin spice season? You have affo-got to be kidding me!

All puns aside, these crisp fall days have got us excited for apple picking, baking, and cozy nights with good friends. This Pumpkin Spice Affogato is our go-to in-front-of-the-crackling-fire, reading-a-great-book, feeling-festive treat.

Affogatos are a delicious Italian creation made of a scoop of ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso, resulting in a creamy and coffee-filled snack/dessert/drink. You can start eating your affogato by scooping the coffee-drenched ice cream with a spoon, but as it melts into a drink reminiscent of a classier milkshake, we’d opt to switch for a straw or sip straight from the glass!

We chose to make this affogato a little differently, using Enlightened’s Pumpkin Spice Latte ice cream topped with our Pumpkin Spice Draft Latte. While the ice cream is decaffeinated, the coffee is most certainly not.

So don’t worry if you can’t make it to a pumpkin patch or want to avoid the mess of jack-o’-lantern carving! You can still achieve full-on fall vibes by wearing your most comfortable flannel and preparing our pumpkin-themed affogato.
