Public Cupping Events: NYC, Philly, DC…and a special event in Chicago!

Cupping Graphic A coffee cupping is almost like a wine tasting. At our public cupping events, our coffee gurus will guide you through all the nuance and subtlety of coffee flavors and fragrances. By tasting the coffees in quick succession, you'll be able to more easily compare them and figure out which one you like best.

This Friday (2/20), join us in NYC, Philly, and DC at 1pm to taste our brews and learn more about the traditional coffee tasting process. See below for locations.

Don’t worry, Chicago! We didn’t forget you. Our fearless Chicago cupping leader, James Gibbs, will be competing in the U.S. Brewers Cup in Long Beach, California. While he won’t be able to conduct the regular public cupping event on Friday, the New Gotham Coffee Community will host a U.S. Coffee Championships viewing party on Sunday, February 22nd, in our new Chicago roastery at 2837 W Fullerton. Join us from 11am-3pm in the hopes of seeing James in the final round of the Brewers Cup, and enjoy complimentary espresso and drip coffee drinks. Read more about La Colombe at USCC here.

Now, there are those of you who are thinking, “Why are these always in the middle of my work day?” We totally hear you. We are planning weekend and evening cuppings and classes in all cities later this spring. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to learn about new events!
