Sometimes on hot summer days, you just gotta treat yourself. Here’s a slammin’ solo recipe for our Yemen Marqaha on Silverton over ice. If you don’t have a gram scale, consider making the leap.
Iced Yemen Silverton for 1 Recipe
Step 1: Add 20 grams of Yemen Marqaha to the Silverton basket, or add a paper filter for easy clean up.
Step 2: Heat 185 grams of water to 204 Fahrenheit.
Step 3: Pour 40 grams of water over the grounds and allow it to bloom for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Pour the remaining 145 grams of water over the grounds. Total brew time should be around 3 minutes.
Step 5: Open valve for the draw-down. Swirl in the carafe and slowly pour the coffee over 125 grams of ice.
Pro Tip: Add more ice for extra chill factor.
