UPDATE (3/17/20):

Friends and Family of La Colombe,

With COVID-19 now declared a national emergency, to protect our employees, customers and communities most at risk, we have made the very difficult decision to temporarily close all of our cafes, effective Tuesday, March 17 for two weeks.

We remain incredibly thankful to our cafe and retail team who stuck with us as we tried to find solutions and navigate this challenge. They are a big part of what is at the heart of this company, and we will continue to cover base pay for the cafe teams during this two week period, as well as benefits.

We will continue to monitor the situation, taking guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organizations, and Avensure’s 24 hour employer HR advice line. All dates are subject to change and we will continue to keep everyone informed as we evolve.

We will remain open at www.lacolombe.com, and we will continue to work closely with our grocery and retailer partners.

This is a new territory for us and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate it. In the meantime, be well and take care of yourselves.

UPDATE (3/13/20):

Friends and Family of La Colombe

At La Colombe, we strive to be a positive influence in all of our communities, whether that be here or far away.  With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) potentially threatening these communities, we are fully committed to not contributing to its spread and potential harm, or for that matter, potential panic, but instead to offer care and hospitality for anyone that needs it. With that in mind we have formulated a detailed response plan.

  • Increasing the frequency and rigor of cleaning and sanitization in all of our retail stores, production facilities, distribution centers and office environments.
  • Based on the best available information, our cafes, offices and facilities will remain open for now. Note, however, that water glasses have been removed and refillable mugs are no longer accommodated.

As we continue to navigate the coronavirus situation, we will be monitoring the CDC’s notifications and guidance from city and state officials and will adjust our plan accordingly.

Know that at La Colombe we intend to be part of the solution, whatever that requires.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, we are also here for you at clientservices@lacolombe.com.

Update as of 3/16: Our mission is to help protect the health and safety of our employees and communities. Our precautions may differ from cafe to café and will evolve based on new information provided by medical and governmental authorities. As of today our cafes, and facilities will remain open, aside from our Prince Street cafe. However, to help slow the spread of COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to change our service, effective immediately, to to-go only in all or our cafes.
