Special-Edition Lyon with $2 of every purchase going towards Vote.org

With the elections right around the corner, it’s time for our collective voices to be heard.

This election year, we are working with Vote.org to empower the La Colombe community to register to vote, check their voter registration status, and/or request their vote by mail-in ballot using Vote.org’s online tools – available here

We’re proud to announce this partnership with Vote.org, America’s leading non-profit non-partisan organization working to increase voter turnout. Focusing on communities of color and younger voters, they are giving millions of people the tools they need to vote in 2020 and beyond.

Through our partnership with Vote.org, we are debuting a special-edition of our beloved medium-roast Lyon. This special-edition coffee contributes $2 of every box sold to Vote.org in their mission to simplify civic engagement, increase voter turnout, and strengthen American democracy. The label features artwork by LA-based artist Kelsee Thomas, to represent the strength of our unique voices to make a collective impact through voting.

Here are a few key dates to be aware of:

  • National Voter Registration Day – September 22, 2020
  • Vote Early Day – October 24, 2020
  • Election Day – November 3, 2020

“At La Colombe, we aspire to influence the world for the better through every action we take because we know that it only gets better when we use our collective voice. One of the most important ways to make our voices heard is voting, which is why we are partnering with Vote.org as they ensure as many people as possible are heard on Election Day.” – Todd Carmichael, CEO of La Colombe

We believe in fair and equal access to voting for all American citizens. We believe in voter education and fighting voter suppression to increase civic engagement. We believe that voter participation leads to a positive impact on our community. We believe that voting is an inalienable right that should be afforded to every citizen on an equal basis.

In addition to working with Vote.org, La Colombe will be sharing resources and supporting staff and volunteers at Voto Latino, Headcount, Fair Fight, ACLU, I am a Voter, NextGen America, and League of Women Voters, to name a few.

We are also participating in the Time to Vote campaign, alongside brands like Patagonia, Levi Strauss, Warby Parker, Nike, among many others. Time to Vote is a nonpartisan, business-led initiative to help ensure that employees across America don’t have to choose between voting and earning a paycheck. Participation includes giving La Colombe employees access to and information about early voting or vote-by-mail options, offering paid time off on Election Day or making it a day without meetings.

Our opportunity to fuel change starts now. Let’s do it together. #FuelYourVote
