If you remember, we hosted an event last September to raise money for the Franklin’s Paine Skateboard Fund, who are responsible for completing the Paine’s Park project. We had sold limited edition skateboards by Formation as well as raffle tickets for various La Colombe products (and we got some nice press on Selectism for it).
Yesterday, Paine’s Park, Philadelphia’s newest skatepark, opened to public. We were there serving Pure Black to donors, kids and families of all ages. It was a wonderful event featuring food trucks, more skateboards by Formation and music. The longtime voice of the Philadelphia Flyers and our founder Todd Carmichael’s wife Lauren Hart sang the national anthem, and made us a little emotional. Thanks to everyone who came and showed support!
