Cup of Excellence Brazil Late Harvest 2014

While Todd was busy winning the NE Brewers Cup, JP Iberti was invited to Espírito Santo do Pinhal, São Paulo, at the border of Minas Gerais in Brazil, as an observer for the Cup of Excellence.

Monday was calibration. Tuesday-Wednesday is the 1st round of cupping. Forty-six coffees were cupped, and half moved up to the next round. Thursday was spent scoring those 20+ coffees to get to the top 10.

Below are some pictures from the sessions and views from the farm in Rainha, where you can find the beautiful cathedral that is famous for the designs of architect Oscar Niemeyer.
