We think that La Colombe is a special place to work at. Besides being the home to some very talented folks in the culinary world, there is certainly a sense of comradery and kinship among the employees and executives. One of the things that we look forward to most each week is our Friday staff/family lunch, and this past one was the best yet. Our chef and baker for the new Fishtown space were nice enough to prepare a feast for us to taste some of the items that they’ve been experimenting with for our highly-anticipated, forthcoming cafe/bakery/distillery. It was delicious (if you couldn’t tell already from the photos below)! While a meal like that might induce a food coma among our staff, we always have a pot of Corsica and the single-origin pick of the day to enjoy after the meal and help perk us up for the weekend.
