On August 10th, the incredible collective of creatives, GLBL VLLG (Global Village) brought their legendary VLLG jam sessions to our Fishtown cafe in our third installment of the Hope and Fury concert series.

The night kicked off with a conversation, led by La Colombe CEO, Todd Carmichael, focused on immigration and global community.

Lyonzo Vargas of GLBL VLLG and Yasmine Mufasta of ROAR for Good joined Todd as they shared their own personal immigration stories and took a few questions from the audience.

Concert goers then sat on the floor as the night transitioned to the jam session with Lyonzo conducting the crowd. The VLLG jam sessions are unlike any other concert because they make the audience the headliner. Attendees pass microphones around to sing, rap, or speak as the band transitioned from one melody to the next.

Our always wonderful sponsors, Yards brewery and sweetgreen were with us to provide attendees with free beer and salads for the night. We were also joined by Juntos, the ROAR for Good team, and NextGen Pennsylvania.

The next Hope and Fury Concert will be on September 7th featuring &more. Stay tuned for more details!
