Despite the torrential downpour outside, La Colombe Fishtown was filled with close to 500 people on September 7th for the fourth installment of our Hope & Fury concert series. Philly music legends, Chill Moody and Donn T brought their new duo, &More, to the stage to speak out about destigmatizing mental health.

Chill Moody, Donn T, and Dr. Tim Barksdale joined La Colombe CEO, Todd Carmichael on stage for a panel discussion to discuss the importance of mental health.

“The brain is another organ – let’s start separating the disease from the human, just like we do for cancer and other illnesses.” – Todd Carmichael

After the panel discussion wrapped up, &More took to the stage with their R&B, soul-filled set. They even performed their new single “My Own Light.”

In the back of the cafe, we had our Wellness Resource Center which featured organizations such as JJPI and Healthy Minds Philly so that attendees could learn more about the resources available to them here in the city.

A big thank you goes out to our lovely sponsors, honeygrow and Yards Brewery for keeping us stocked with salads and beer for the night.

Our next Hope & Fury show will be on October 5 with The Lauren Hart Band! Stay tuned for more details!
